A Boston based group, the recreated crew of His Majesty's Ship Somerset strives to recreate an actual ship's company as it would have appeared during the American War for Independence. As a member of the Ship's Company we portray one of the most exciting characters in history - the British Jack Tar. Join Us and fight along Tall Ships and storm the beaches against the King's enemies. Why read about history - when you can relive it! SIGN UP TODAY!

Learn About the Ship's Crew!
During the Age of Sail a ship was nothing less than a small floating city. On the largest ships, the crew could be as large as 880 men, bigger than many towns back in England. As the ship could be at sea for a year or more, every circumstance had to be taken into account. The ship employed Schoolmasters, Chaplains, Carpenters, Clerks, Armourers, and even had men to tend livestock. Learn more about these roles and the men and women of the Somerset who recreate those roles today.

I humbly submit two AARs for events from this past year. They try to explain just want happened during the event. Sometimes the author's bad sense of humor runs away with his wits. Please forgive him.
